K-POP girl group NewJeans has added another milestone to its Spotify run just as the group marks four years since debut.

New Jeans's 2024 single "How Sweet" has now crossed 300 million streams on the platform, becoming the ninth NewJeans track to reach the mark. According to Spotify, the title track from the double single "How Sweet" had drawn 302,620,152 cumulative streams as of the 25th.

The song was released on May 24, 2024, built around a Miami bass-driven hip-hop sound. Its bright, distinctive feel landed it near the top of major domestic charts including Melon, Genie, and Bugs shortly after release. It also charted for 13 consecutive weeks on Billboard's Global 200.

With the update, NewJeans' total Spotify streams are approaching 8 billion. "Ditto" and "OMG" have each passed 900 million, "Super Shy" has cleared 800 million, and "Hype Boy" has crossed 700 million. "New Jeans" and "Attention" have each drawn more than 500 million streams, while "ETA" has topped 400 million. "Cookie" and "How Sweet" have each cleared 300 million. Further down the catalog, "Hurt," "Cool With You," and "Supernatural" have passed 200 million, and "ASAP," "Get Up," "Bubble Gum," and "Right Now" have each topped 100 million.

The streaming milestone comes as attention builds around whether NewJeans will return as a four-member act. The group marked its fourth debut anniversary on the 22nd, and its agency, ADOR, posted anniversary content across its official channels. The material featured Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein, and also included Minji, whose return to the group is still under discussion. Danielle, who has been removed from NewJeans, was not included.

ADOR said Minji's return has not been confirmed. "Specific plans and formats for NewJeans' activities will be announced once discussions are complete," the agency said.
