WayV Spreads Its Wings for August Comeback With 'Vision Wings'

K-pop group WayV is set to return with new music this summer. The group will release its eighth mini-album, "Vision Wings," on August 10 at 6 p.m. KST across major streaming platforms.

The mini-album carries seven tracks in total, including Chinese and English versions of the title song "Vision Wings" (鸢). Each song builds its story around a Chinese homophone, using the wordplay as a thematic anchor.

Among the tracks, "Afterparty (5 a.m.)" is a pop ballad rooted in the word 愿, meaning "wish." The song follows longing that grows heavier as the night stretches on, eventually turning toward the person the singer loves. Melancholy chord movement and a quiet pre-dawn mood shape the track.

Another song, "Heaven's Here With Me" (光云之境), leans into classic R&B with a soft melody over a mid-tempo groove. Its keyword is 园, meaning "paradise," and the lyrics describe two people who slowly become each other's shelter and safe place.

Ahead of the album release, WayV will perform at SummerStage, the long-running outdoor music festival held in New York's Central Park, on August 2 local time.

The group will then open its solo concert run on September 12 and 13 at KBS Arena in Seoul's Gangseo district, kicking off the "2026 WayV CONCERT TOUR [BORN THIS Way]."
