K-pop group CORTIS is stepping onto a bigger stage with a new single tied to a name from Memphis rap history. The five-member group released the digital single "MOTION (feat. Juicy J)" on July 31 at 1 p.m. KST, marking their first new music since the second EP "GREENGREEN."

The track features Juicy J, a member of the American hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia. Built on the Memphis sound that shaped Southern hip-hop in the 1990s, the song leans on a repeating beat, a heavy hook, and steady rap flows.

For member Martin, the collaboration carries personal weight. He grew up listening to Juicy J and Three 6 Mafia, and the working relationship continued after he joined CORTIS. The five members, Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyun, and Keonho, all took part in writing and composing the song.

The title "MOTION" reflects the group's push toward larger stages. That framing lines up with what comes next, the "2026 CORTIS TOUR <PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN> IN NORTH AMERICA."

"Working with Juicy J was not just a one-time meeting," CORTIS said in a statement. "It was a process of understanding and respecting each other's music over a long time, and building deep trust. This is a song we are sharing with real affection, from a relationship that started before we even debuted."

Before the tour launches, CORTIS will perform at the U.S. music festival Lollapalooza Chicago on August 1 local time. The set will air live for about 50 minutes on the fan platform Weverse and other channels starting August 2 at 5:05 a.m. KST. CORTIS is the only K-pop boy group on this year's Lollapalooza Chicago lineup.

The rollout points to a clear strategy. Pair a rookie group with a recognizable American rap name, package it with a festival appearance, and roll straight into a North American tour. For a new act, that is a direct route into the U.S. market.
