NMIXX Sets Japan Debut With 12-Track Best Album 'N=MIXX'
K-pop girl group NMIXX is heading to Japan. The group will make its official Japanese debut on Dec. 9 with a best album titled "N=MIXX."
The 12-track project pulls together some of the group's best-known songs to date. It includes "Blue Valentine," which drew a strong response on Korean streaming charts, along with Japanese-language versions of previously released tracks.
The Japan debut lands in the middle of a busy touring stretch. NMIXX launched its first world tour, "EPISODE 1: ZERO FRONTIER," in November of last year with a show at Inspire Arena in Incheon. Ahead of the album release, the group will play two solo concerts at Keio Arena in Tokyo on Aug. 8 and 9, its first major face-to-face moment with Japanese fans as a headliner.
NMIXX debuted in 2022 with the single "AD MARE" and has kept up a steady release pace since, most recently with "Heavy Serenade." Over that stretch, the group has built an identity around technical vocals and sharp performance, a lane that has helped set it apart in a crowded fourth-generation girl group field.
That identity now gets its first real test in one of K-pop's most important overseas markets. Japan remains a key revenue driver for Korean labels through physical album sales, arena touring, and long-running fan clubs, and an official local debut usually signals a shift from occasional showcases to a full promotional footprint. For NMIXX, "N=MIXX" is both an introduction and a statement of where the group wants to compete next.
