Why Park Ji-hoon Cancels September Shanghai Fan Meeting

Singer and actor Park Ji-hoon will no longer hold his planned fan meeting in Shanghai. His agency, YY Entertainment, announced the cancellation on the 5th.

In a statement, YY Entertainment said "2026 PARK JI HOON CHINA FANMEETING 'RE:FLECT' IN SHANGHAI," previously scheduled for September, will not take place due to unavoidable circumstances. The agency did not specify what those circumstances were.

"We sincerely apologize to the fans who were waiting for the Shanghai fan meeting for the confusion caused, and we ask for your generous understanding," the agency said. "We will do our best to return with an even better appearance in the future."

The Shanghai date had been part of Park's broader Asia fan-con tour, which the agency addressed directly to his fandom, MAY, in its notice.

Park debuted as a member of the project group Wanna One after competing on the Mnet survival show "Produce 101" Season 2 in 2017. He has since built a career as a soloist and actor, and his ongoing tour marks one of his largest engagements with overseas fans this year. The cancellation removes one of the tour's major stops in the Greater China market, though the agency did not comment on the status of other cities on the itinerary.
