Lee Dae-hwi Signs With Off The Record, Reuniting With Fellow Wanna One Alum Kim Jae-hwan
Singer Lee Dae-hwi is starting a new chapter with Off The Record.
The label announced on August 7 that it had signed an exclusive contract with the artist, calling him a performer with strong musical skills and wide-ranging appeal. Off The Record said it will fully support him so he can show the full range of what he can do as an artist. Off The Record is a label under WAKEONE, set up to focus on the music and activities of the parent company's solo artists.
Lee debuted in 2017 as a member of the group Wanna One, where his stage presence and command of live performance quickly won over the public. He later joined the group AB6IX, showing off not only his vocals and performance but also his skills as a lyricist, composer, and producer. He recently reunited with his Wanna One groupmates on a reality program, and he is also set to appear at KCON LA 2026, news that has raised expectations among fans.
Lee has shown a sharp musical ear through the many songs he has helped write, and he has built a steady second lane on television. He has hosted variety shows, radio programs, and events, showing calm hosting skills and a light sense of humor. That mix of musicianship and mainstream appeal has made him an all-around artist, and his next moves with Off The Record are drawing interest for the same reason.
"I'm very happy to be starting fresh with Off The Record," Lee said. "I'll work hard to show a more grown version of myself and my best side across many different areas."
Off The Record has been building a solo roster with clear individual identities, centered on Kim Feel, Ha Hyun-sang, and Kim Jae-hwan. For Lee, the signing means a reunion with Kim Jae-hwan, whom he first met through Wanna One.
Now with Off The Record, Lee plans to stay active across music and broadcast, and to share new sides of himself through his personal YouTube channel as well.
