BTS's Jungkook is getting a Times Square moment for his birthday.

His Chinese fan club, Jungkook China, announced through X that it will run a birthday tribute ad on the TSX Live Billboard in Manhattan (1568 Broadway, New York, NY 10036) on Sept. 1.

The clip carries the phrases "Born to Be Legend Happy JK Day" and "Happy Birthday Jungkook." It will play 576 times over the course of the day on one of Times Square's largest screens.

The location adds an extra layer of meaning. The TSX Live Billboard sits above the same stage where Jungkook became the first Asian artist to perform a solo show at Times Square. Fans and the singer both hold ties to the spot, and the fan club chose it for that reason.

Word of the campaign has drawn a warm response online, with fans pointing to the personal history behind the venue and the scale of the ad buy.

This is not the first time Jungkook China has taken over a city skyline for the singer. On March 21, timed to BTS's Gwanghwamun comeback live stage, the fan club ran support ads across major sites in Seoul. Screens at KT Square, Lumi Media, and the LED board at Koreana Hotel carried Jungkook's image, along with every CM pillar screen inside Gwanghwamun Station on the Seoul subway.

Fandom-funded ad campaigns have become a familiar part of K-pop birthday culture, but the reach keeps growing. A single-day takeover of a Times Square landmark, tied directly to an artist's own history there, shows how far organized fan groups now go to mark the calendar.
