Hearts2Hearts Makes Strong Japan Debut, Lands at No. 2 on Oricon
K-pop girl group Hearts2Hearts is making its official Japan debut. The group released its first Japanese single, "ICONIC HEART," on Aug. 12.
The digital version arrived two days earlier on Aug. 10, and the physical album goes on sale locally on release day. The single includes three tracks: the title song and Japanese versions of "Lemon Tang" and "RUDE!"
The title track "ICONIC HEART" is about the rush and excitement of stepping into a bigger world together. The music video dropped at midnight KST on the SMTOWN YouTube channel and other platforms. Even before the physical release, the single reached No. 2 on Oricon's daily singles chart dated Aug. 10.
Hearts2Hearts is starting its Japan promotions on the same day. The group holds a debut live-and-talk event in Tokyo to meet local fans. Upcoming appearances include Mezamashi TV's "WANGAN Festival," "Inazuma Rock Festival," and "Tokyo Girls Collection 2026" stops in Matsuyama and Yokohama. The group will also perform at a special Nippon Professional Baseball game between the Saitama Seibu Lions and the Orix Buffaloes at Tokyo Dome.
The group has been building a presence in Japan for months. Members have appeared on TV Asahi's "MUSIC STATION," "Tokyo Girls Collection 2026" in Niigata, and the YouTube channel "THE FIRST TAKE," introducing themselves to Japanese audiences ahead of the formal debut.
