TXT's Yeonjun Takes on America With GMA, Billboard and Dodger Stadium
TXT's Yeonjun has wrapped up a wide-ranging run of U.S. promotions for his second mini album "NO LABELS: PART 02," expanding his presence as a solo artist through music, live performances and major cultural events.
Yeonjun's U.S. schedule began with ABC's "Good Morning America" Summer Concert Series, where he became the second K-POP solo artist to perform at the event following labelmate BTS' Jungkook. The appearance placed Yeonjun in front of a large outdoor audience and marked one of the biggest stages of his latest solo promotions.
He later took center stage at "Billboard: One Night Only," performing at Los Angeles' historic Troubadour. Performing at the venue also holds additional significance within BIGHIT MUSIC's history as in 2014 it held BTS' first-ever U.S performance.
Yeonjun continued to reach audiences beyond traditional K-POP promotions, becoming the first Korean artist invited to perform at Z100's Summer Bash Presented By Wells Fargo and organized by the iHeartMedia radio station. Furthermore, he also appeared at Korean Heritage Night at Dodger Stadium, where he delivered a special performance and threw the ceremonial first pitch.
From a major outdoor concert and an intimate music venue to one of the most recognizable stadiums in the U.S., the appearances allowed Yeonjun to introduce himself to different audiences while showcasing the performance skills that have become central to his identity as a soloist.
The promotional strategy also follows a path previously taken by BTS' Jungkook, who expanded his solo presence in the U.S. through a combination performances. In 2023, he became the first Korean solo artist to perform as part of the "Good Morning America" Summer Concert Series. He later appeared at the Global Citizen Festival and staged a surprise performance at the TSX Entertainment venue in New York's Times Square.
While the two artists have established distinct identities, both have leaned heavily on vocals, performance and contemporary pop production to reach audiences beyond their respective groups.
For Yeonjun, "NO LABELS: PART 02" brought together international producers including Dave Hamelin, JULiA LEWiS and ALDAE, alongside longtime TXT collaborator Slow Rabbit. The production was paired with choreography designed to emphasize Yeonjun's distinctive movement and translate the album's playful lyrics into performance.
The U.S. promotions also reflect BIGHIT MUSIC's continued emphasis on placing its artists in settings that extend beyond conventional television and radio appearances. Outdoor concerts, intimate venues and sporting events offered Yeonjun opportunities to interact directly with local audiences while widening his exposure in the market.
Yeonjun's global activities will continue with TXT as the group is scheduled to perform at the Global Citizen Festival in New York's Central Park on Sept. 26, where they will be the only Korean act on this year's lineup.
