Wanna One's Yoon Ji-sung Cast in Dating Reality Short-Form Drama 'Adieu Solo'
Wanna One member Yoon Ji-sung is joining the cast of a new short-form drama built around a dating reality show. He will play Kim Kyung-dal, a Daehak-ro theater actor, in "Adieu Solo."
"Adieu Solo" is a short-form romantic comedy and fake-variety drama that follows eight young men and women who sign up for a dating survival program. The story tracks how people with very different views on love try to find real feelings somewhere between what they want and what is actually in front of them.
Kim Kyung-dal is not the type to show off. He watches the people around him carefully and takes care of them without making a fuss. He works as a theater actor in Daehak-ro, Seoul's small-theater district, and he is happy with a life spent on the stage he loves.
But the character has a side he does not share with others. He joins the dating survival show because he wants to meet someone who sees him for who he is, not for what he has.
Yoon Ji-sung will play Kim Kyung-dal as calm and open-hearted, with a twist the audience is not expecting. How he handles a character who cares more about honesty than status is one of the things to watch.
Yoon Ji-sung has been building his acting career through dramas including "Be My Boyfriend" (Neoui Bami Doeeojulge) and "Thundercloud, Wind and Rain" (Cheondungurum Bibaram). "Thundercloud, Wind and Rain," which wrapped in December last year, drew attention as his first project in the BL genre since his debut.
He has also kept a steady presence on stage. After making his musical debut in "Those Days" (Geunaldeul) in 2019, he appeared in "The Return" (Gwihwan), "Something Rotten!" and "Happy Oh! Happy." He is currently on stage in the musical "Portrait of a Boy" (Sonyeonui Chosang).
Yoon Ji-sung has also been active again with Wanna One in recent months. With "Adieu Solo" now confirmed, he continues to work as both a singer and an actor.
