All Five CORTIS Members Officially Credited on &TEAM's "Good Boy"
All five members of CORTIS have officially been credited on &TEAM's upcoming song "Good Boy," marking a notable step in the rookie group's growing involvement in music creation beyond their own releases.
YX LABELS unveiled the tracklist for &TEAM's second Korean mini-album "Mark on Me" on September 1, officially confirming CORTIS' participation in "Good Boy." The track brings the group together with a production lineup that includes Johnny Goldstein, "hitman" bang and other established creators.
The official announcement follows credit information that began circulating online last week after appearing alongside the song's KBS broadcast review. The information listed CORTIS members Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon and Keonho as contributors to the track, drawing attention among fans even before YX LABELS formally announced the song's production lineup.
"Good Boy" will be included on &TEAM's upcoming Korean mini-album "Mark on Me," which is scheduled to be released on September 8. The six-track album also includes title track "Mark on Me," "Love Jang," "Accelerate," "Empty" and "Night to howl!"
The credit is particularly notable for CORTIS as it marks all five members participating in the creation of a song for another artist together.
Since debuting under BIGHIT MUSIC in August of last year, CORTIS has emphasized its identity as a "young creator crew," with the members taking an active role in songwriting, production, choreography and other aspects of their creative output.
That involvement, however, began even before the group's debut. Martin and James had already participated in the creative processes behind releases by other HYBE artists through songwriting and choreography, establishing individual creative credits before officially debuting as members of CORTIS.
Since then, the group's hands-on approach has become a central part of its identity. Rather than limiting their participation to performing music created for them, the members have been directly involved in shaping CORTIS' sound and visual identity.
With "Good Boy," that approach is now extending beyond CORTIS' own discography as all five members contribute to a release by fellow HYBE group &TEAM.
The collaboration is also notable for the creators working alongside them. YX LABELS revealed that "Good Boy" features participation from Johnny Goldstein, who has worked with artists including The Black Eyed Peas and BTS' J-Hope. CORTIS' inclusion alongside the established producers further highlights the expansion of the rookie group's creative work beyond its own music.
The credits initially attracted attention online because all five CORTIS members were listed rather than only members who had previously established individual songwriting or production experience. The official tracklist announcement has now confirmed the group's involvement ahead of the song's release.
"Good Boy" will be released as part of &TEAM's "Mark on Me" on September 8.
