Aespa's Brazil Concert Offers 60% Ticket Discount as Show Remains Unsold
aespa's upcoming concert in São Paulo has become a talking point among K-POP fans after select tickets were discounted by 60% less than two weeks before the show.
The group is set to perform at Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu on Sept. 4 as part of its "2026-27 LIVE TOUR - SYNK : COMPLæXITY." While the concert has yet to sell out, tickets in the Pista and Arquibancada Norte sections are now being offered at a steep discount through Live Nation Brasil's Concert Week.
The promotion brings tickets in the two sections down to roughly R$250 (about $46), depending on the ticket category and fees. It runs through Aug. 30 or until the allocated inventory sells out. Premium sections and VIP packages are not included.
News of the discount quickly spread across Brazilian social media, where reactions have ranged from fans rushing to take advantage of the cheaper tickets to others questioning demand for the concert. Some MYs, aespa's fandom, celebrated the opportunity to attend at a more affordable price, with fans posting that the deal had convinced them to buy tickets or was tempting them to make a last-minute trip to the show.
At the same time, the promotion has fueled another round of K-POP fandom rivalry. Some users pointed to the unsold tickets and 60% discount as evidence that demand for aespa in Brazil had fallen short of expectations, drawing comparisons to other K-POP acts, particularly BTS, whose shows have sold out in cities around the world.
Fans of aespa have pushed back against that characterization, noting that Concert Week is not an aespa-specific sale. The annual Live Nation Brasil campaign, which runs from Aug. 24 to 30 this year, offers discounted inventory for multiple concerts. Fans have also argued that much of the venue has already been sold and that the promotion applies only to selected sections.
Still, the timing of the discount has drawn attention. Concert promoters commonly use limited late-stage promotions to move remaining inventory as a show approaches, allowing them to fill more of a venue without lowering prices across every ticket category. In aespa's case, the 60% offer is restricted to two sections, while higher-priced and VIP inventory remains outside the promotion.
For fans who purchased tickets earlier at full price, the sudden price drop has also brought some frustration, with several questioning the benefit of buying early when cheaper tickets can become available closer to the concert.
The São Paulo show comes just before aespa moves into the North American part of the tour in September, putting further attention on how ticket demand develops as "SYNK : COMPLæXITY" continues across the region.
