Los Angeles has officially declared Sept. 1 through 8 "BTS Week" as BTS returns to the city for four sold-out concerts at SoFi Stadium.

The designation coincides with the Los Angeles stop of the group's "ARIRANG" World Tour, with shows scheduled for Sept. 1, 2, 5 and 6. Los Angeles City Hall will also be illuminated in red on Sept. 1, reflecting the key color associated with BTS' fifth full-length album "ARIRANG."

City officials marked the occasion with a proclamation ceremony at City Hall on Aug. 31. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass highlighted BTS' cultural impact and longstanding ties to the city as she welcomed the group back to Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles City Council also recognized BTS for its influence beyond music, citing the group's messages of self-love and hope, its "LOVE MYSELF" campaign with UNICEF and its appearances at the United Nations.

The Los Angeles concerts come as part of BTS' first full-group stadium tour since all seven members completed their mandatory military service. The "ARIRANG" World Tour, launched in support of the group's fifth full-length album released earlier this year, has taken BTS to stadiums across North America as part of its global run.

The four sold-out shows mark BTS' first return to SoFi Stadium since "BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LA" in December 2021. The Los Angeles dates will also bring the North American leg of the "ARIRANG" tour to a close.
