BTS' Jungkook Opens His Bag: Dozens of Pills Come Tumbling Out

K-Pop group BTS member Jungkook gave fans a look inside the bag of medications and supplements he carries, revealing vitamins, prescription drugs and other remedies during a recent livestream.

Jungkook went live on the fan platform Weverse on Sep. 1 to chat with fans. While preparing to take his supplements, he said, "I need to take magnesium. Let me show you the vitamins I carry around. This is my medicine bag, my vitamin bag."

He then reached into a large black bag and pulled out several Ziplock-style pouches filled with pills and supplements.

"These are the vitamins I take in the morning. There are a lot of different kinds," he said. "I also have prescription medicine for when I catch a cold or my tonsils swell up."

Jungkook added that he carries medication prescribed for high liver enzyme levels, as well as sleeping pills for nights when he has trouble falling asleep. He also showed medicine he takes when certain foods upset his stomach.

He then held up a bottle of liquid vitamin D and admitted he was unsure how to take it. "It's in liquid form, and I don't really know how I'm supposed to take it," he said. "Do I put drops on food or mix it with water?"

Holding up two more bottles, he explained that they were used to treat skin-related problems. "This is an antibiotic I take when I have skin inflammation, and this one is for when I have an allergic reaction."

"There's a lot, right? This is how I take care of my health," he said. "I've heard that it's scientifically better to take fewer than five vitamins at a time. Jimin said something like that too."

He clarified that he had not consulted a pharmacist about his supplement regimen. "I didn't get advice from a pharmacist about this. But I haven't experienced any particular discomfort from taking them," he said.

Meanwhile, BTS performed at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Sep. 1 and 2 local time as part of BTS WORLD TOUR "ARIRANG" IN LOS ANGELES. The group will return to the venue for two more shows on Sep. 5 and 6.
