QWER Lets Fans Pick Its Next Single With Public Vote, Listening Pop-Up
K-POP band QWER is handing the choice of its next single over to fans.
The four-member group recently posted a video titled "Vote for Your QWER!" on its official YouTube channel, kicking off a public campaign built around two unreleased tracks with different moods.
In the teaser, members Chodan, Magenta, Hina, and Siyeon talk through their impressions of the two songs. Early reactions from outside listeners were also previewed, including singer Sya, Lissenne Minami, lyricist Kim Eana, YouTuber Chimchakman, Red Dragonfly, and music critic Kim Do-heon. Their full listening sessions arrive on the 6th.
QWER is also opening a physical listening space. From the 7th through the 13th, the group will host "CHOOSE YOUR QWER LISTENING POP-UP" at The Hyundai Seoul's Heights Exchange. Visitors can hear the unreleased tracks on site and cast a vote for their favorite. An online voting channel will run alongside the pop-up.
The campaign lands just as QWER launches its second tour. The group kicks off "ROCKATION : ROCKET LAUNCH!!" on the 12th and 13th at Korea University's Hwajung Gymnasium in Seoul. After the Seoul shows, QWER will travel to nine cities across Asia, including Taipei, Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
Letting fans steer a release is a familiar move in K-pop marketing, but pairing it with a pop-up, a critics' listening panel, and a tour launch in the same window turns a single-choice vote into a full rollout moment for QWER's next chapter.
