QWER Lets 27,000 Fans Choose Its New Title Track

K-pop band QWER is releasing a new single shaped by its fans. The four-member group will release the special single "DREAMER & PICARESQUE" on Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. KST through major streaming platforms.

The release is the result of the group's "CHOOSE YOUR QWER" project. QWER, consisting of Chodan, Magenta, Hina and Siyeon, previewed the two unreleased songs at listening pop-up events and concerts before asking fans to select the title track.

About 27,000 people took part in the vote, with roughly 70 percent choosing "DREAMER." The song expresses the determination to keep pursuing one's dreams like the hero of a boys' comic, even when reality is far from glamorous. QWER's upbeat band sound and lyrical songwriting deliver a message of comfort and encouragement to young people chasing their dreams.

The second track, "PICARESQUE," is about living confidently on one's own terms in a predictable and conventional world. The song pairs witty lyrics with an addictive chorus. Together, the two tracks explore contrasting sides of youth.

QWER has established its musical identity through songs including "Discord," "T.B.H," "My Name Is Malguem," "Dear" and "CEREMONY." The new single further expands the group's range by bringing together two songs with distinctly different moods.

The group is also continuing its second tour. QWER wrapped the Seoul concerts of "QWER 2nd TOUR 'ROCKATION : ROCKET LAUNCH!!'" at Korea University's Hwajeong Gymnasium on Sept. 12 and 13.

The Asia leg will begin in Taipei on Oct. 10 and 11, followed by Fukuoka on Oct. 13, Osaka on Oct. 15 and Tokyo on Oct. 17. QWER will then perform in Kuala Lumpur on Nov. 7 and Bangkok on Nov. 14 before continuing the tour in Hong Kong on Jan. 2, 2027, and Singapore on Jan. 8 and 9. The tour will take the group to eight cities across Asia.

"DREAMER & PICARESQUE" will be released on Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. KST.
