BTS' 'ARIRANG' Tour Tops South Korea's Ticket Scalping Reports

BTS' "ARIRANG" World Tour recorded the most ticket scalping reports in South Korea over the past year.

According to data submitted by the Korea Creative Content Agency, 102 reports related to the tour were filed between September 2025 and Aug. 27, 2026.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also identified 1,868 resale posts involving BTS concert tickets, more than 18 times the number of official reports.

BTS was followed by PSY's "Summer Swag" with 88 reports, BIGBANG concerts with 69 and DAY6's special concerts with 51.

A total of 7,639 ticket scalping reports were filed from 2023 through August 2026, with music events accounting for about 75 percent.

South Korea introduced tougher anti-scalping rules on Aug. 28, allowing fines of up to 50 times the resale amount. However, concerns remain over overseas sellers and other resale methods that can bypass the rules.
