82MAJOR Earns First Music Show Win With 'Like Fire'

82MAJOR has secured its first music show trophy since debut with its latest single, "Like Fire."

The six-member group took first place on the Sept. 9 episode of MBC M's "Show Champion," three years after its debut. The song is the title track of its second single album, "HEAT," released Sept. 1.

"We've been running toward this since the moment we debuted," Park Seokjun said through the group's agency. The members also thanked their fandom, 82DE, for helping them reach the milestone.

82MAJOR also gave the first televised performance of B-side "wyd?" before taking the stage with "Like Fire."

The win follows career-best results for the group. "HEAT" surpassed 150,000 copies in first-week sales, while "Like Fire" reached No. 64 on Melon's Hot 100 and gave the group its first No. 1 on Bugs' real-time chart.

82MAJOR will continue promotions on "M Countdown," "Music Bank," "Show! Music Core" and "Inkigayo" this week.
