ROSÉ Turns Down $7.2M Ad Deal, Teams Up With Apple for New Single
K-pop group BLACKPINK member and solo artist ROSÉ is releasing a new single in collaboration with Apple.
Her agency, THEBLACKLABEL, said on Sept. 10 that "new trick" will be released across streaming platforms at 8 a.m. KST on Sept. 18.
The music video was created as part of Apple's "Shot on iPhone" campaign. ROSÉ follows previous participants including Lady Gaga, Olivia Rodrigo and The Weeknd.
Apple and ROSÉ also posted a roughly 15-second teaser on their official social media accounts. The clip shows ROSÉ holding a piece of candy as a snippet of the new song plays. Both the teaser and the full music video were filmed entirely on the iPhone 18 Pro.
Dave Meyers directed the music video. He has worked with major pop stars including Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar and Ariana Grande, and previously directed BLACKPINK's music video for "JUMP."
ROSÉ has also reportedly turned down a $7.2 million endorsement offer from a Chinese tea beverage brand. She spent about a year discussing a ROSÉ-branded special edition with a well-known champagne company, but the deal reportedly fell through over differences involving the product's design and other details.
