Former BIGBANG member and solo artist T.O.P has abruptly canceled his upcoming fan meeting in Jakarta.

TONZ Entertainment, the promoter handling the event, announced the cancellation on Sept. 10. "We deeply apologize to all TOPSX fans who have been waiting for 'T.O.P PRE-STUDIO 2026 in JAKARTA,'" the company said. "We regret to inform you that the show scheduled for 7 p.m. on Sept. 19 has been canceled due to local circumstances."

"T.O.P PRE-STUDIO 2026" is T.O.P's first Asia fan meeting tour since making his debut 20 years ago. The tour began in Hong Kong on Aug. 15 and was scheduled to continue through December with stops in Taipei, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo and Kaohsiung.

TONZ Entertainment said T.O.P and his agency had attempted to proceed with the Jakarta event. "The artist and his agency did their best to hold the show as scheduled. However, we determined that it would be difficult to proceed due to local circumstances and had no choice but to cancel it," the promoter said.

The company added, "We sincerely apologize for delivering this sudden news to the TOPSX fans who have been waiting for the show, and we ask for your understanding." Further information regarding ticket refunds will be provided separately through the official ticketing platform.

The promoter did not disclose the specific circumstances behind the cancellation, prompting speculation in Indonesia. Possible explanations raised locally include safety concerns following a recent volcanic eruption and sluggish ticket sales.

Mount Anak Krakatau, located in the Sunda Strait about 150 kilometers west-southwest of Jakarta, erupted on Sept. 4. Indonesian geological authorities have warned that further eruptions remain possible, with volcanic ash and lava flows among the potential hazards.

Some local observers have suggested that concerns over further volcanic activity and travel disruption may have led to the cancellation. The promoter, however, has not confirmed any connection between the eruption and the decision.

Others have pointed to the price of admission. Tickets for the Jakarta fan meeting were reportedly priced at up to 4.1 million rupiah, or approximately $232, prompting claims
