Yeonjun of K-pop boy group TOMORROW X TOGETHER donated 100 million won (about $74,000) to the Community Chest of Korea, also known as Fruit of Love, to mark his birthday.

The charity announced that Yeonjun made the donation on Sept. 13 and joined its Honor Society for major individual donors. Membership is open to those who donate at least 100 million won or pledge to contribute that amount within five years.

The donation will support free meal programs for older adults in Seongnam and renovations of aging welfare facilities in the city.

"I decided to donate because I wanted to share the overwhelming love I've received with more people in a meaningful way," Yeonjun said. "I sincerely hope this small contribution reaches those who need it and becomes a source of strength that makes someone's day a little warmer."

Yeonjun has previously supported meal programs for children facing food insecurity in South Korea. He has also contributed to PTSD and psychological recovery programs for firefighters, the construction of an ALS care hospital and mental health programs for children and teenagers.

Yeonjun is also set to perform at the 2026 Global Citizen Festival at Central Park in New York on Sept. 26. The annual festival calls for action on global issues including extreme poverty, climate change and inequality.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER is the only Korean act announced for this year's festival, while Yeonjun will also perform as a solo artist. He is the second Korean male solo artist invited to the event, following BTS's Jungkook in 2023.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER will begin its fifth world tour, "TOMORROW X TOGETHER WORLD TOUR <STEAL THE WIND>," with three concerts in Seoul from Nov. 13 to 15. The tour will continue across Asia, Japan, North America and Europe.
