EVAN Drops 'Death of Me' Dance Video as Solo Debut Tops Charts
EVAN, the solo artist and former member of K-POP boy group ENHYPEN, has released a new choreography video.
The clip for the title track of his first mini album, "DEATH OF ME," went up September 15 on the official HYBE Labels YouTube channel.
The video moves through several settings, including a set built around dramatic lighting, a worn-down room, a white studio backdrop, and a large stage. EVAN changes outfits to match each space, shifting between a black suit with a white shirt and grunge-style looks.
The choreography leans on pop-style movement and a heavy sense of rhythm. EVAN worked directly on the sections where he moves in sync with his backup dancers.
"Death of Me" landed in the upper rankings of Korea's major music sites soon after release. Overseas, it reached No. 2 on Japan's Oricon Daily Album Ranking on September 11, and it charted on both the Official Singles Downloads Chart and the Official Singles Sales Chart in the U.K. for the September 11–17 tracking week. The mini album "DEATH OF ME" sold more than 500,000 copies in its first week and hit No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 11 countries and regions.
EVAN performed the new song on SBS Life's "The Show" on September 15. He is set to appear on MBC M and MBC every1's "Show Champion" on September 16.
