K-POP girl group i-dle's Soyeon has topped the TOP100 chart on Korean streaming platform Melon with her new song "I'm gonna TOESA (Narr. KIAN84)," whose title translates to "I'm Going to Quit."

Soyeon shared the news on social media on Sept. 17, posting a screenshot of the chart. "Wow, No. 1. Thank you so, so, so much," she wrote.

"I'm gonna TOESA" is the title track from her first full-length album, "What a Wonderful Life," released on Sept. 7. The band-driven song uses candid lyrics to capture the thoughts of an office worker dreaming of quitting.

The track steadily climbed the charts following its release, particularly during morning and evening commuting hours. On Sept. 15, it ranked No. 6 on Melon's TOP100, No. 2 on Genie's real-time chart and FLO, and No. 4 on Bugs' real-time chart before reaching the top of Melon two days later.

Soyeon discussed the song's rise when she appeared as a special DJ on MBC FM4U's "Kim Shin-young's Noon Song of Hope" on Sept. 15. "I heard the song climbs sharply during commuting hours. I was surprised to hear that it had reached No. 6 on Melon's TOP100 at 9 a.m. today," she said.

She added, "I tend to pay close attention to chart rankings. As soon as I checked the ranking that morning, I thanked the fans."

During the show, Soyeon also revealed what she would do if the song reached No. 1. "If it reaches No. 1 on a major music chart, I'll lay out vegetables like a buffet and do a mukbang," she said.

Soyeon has repeatedly said that she does not eat vegetables and even released a song titled "I Hate Vegetables" last month. With "I'm gonna TOESA" now at No. 1, attention is turning to whether she will follow through on her vegetable buffet mukbang promise.
