CLOSE YOUR EYES Says "Open Your Eyes" This Time

K-pop group CLOSE YOUR EYES will offer an early preview of its upcoming fourth mini-album with a pre-release track.

The seven-member group will release "Open Your Eyes" across major streaming platforms on Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. KST. The song arrives ahead of the group's fourth mini-album, "256th Note," which is due out on Sept. 30.

"Open Your Eyes" reinterprets the freedom and improvisational qualities of jazz through hip-hop and R&B. Built around an experimental piano arpeggio loop and fast-paced drums, the track features keyboard work by pianist Yohan Kim and saxophone by jazz saxophonist Jacob Scesney.

Members Jeon Minwook and Kenshin participated in writing the lyrics. Their vocals add a distinct rhythmic quality to the track.

The song serves as the opening track of "256th Note," setting the tone for the rest of the album. The album title was inspired by the 256th note, one of the shortest note values in music, and reflects the idea of capturing fleeting emotions through music.

A music video teaser released ahead of the song opens with a drum performance set against a city at night. The members then appear one by one beneath a blue-tinted sky as a brief preview of the track plays.

CLOSE YOUR EYES will give the first performance of "Open Your Eyes" at the 2026 THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS on Sept. 19.

The full mini-album will be released on Sept. 30 at 6 p.m. KST. The group will hold a comeback event for both online and in-person audiences at 8 p.m. KST the same day.
