Kian84 Clips LE SSERAFIM Kazuha's Toenails on 'Insaeng84,' Fans Divided

Webtoon artist and TV personality Kian84 clipped the toenails of LE SSERAFIM member Kazuha on camera. Kazuha smiled and went along with it, but once the video went live, viewers were split over the moment.

On Sept. 17, a video titled "Kazuha Came Over to My Place" was posted to Kian84's YouTube channel "Insaeng84." Kazuha, who first connected with Kian84 through the Netflix variety show "Boss in the Mirror 2" (Daehwanjang Gian-jang 2), stopped by his home.

Kian84 said he wanted to cook for Kazuha before her upcoming world tour and invited her over. He explained that Kazuha had taken on a lot of the work during the filming of "Boss in the Mirror 2," and he wanted to send her off with a home-cooked meal before she left the country.

He prepared grilled pork belly and pickled chili peppers. Kazuha helped in the kitchen, washing rice and prepping onions. When she looked for hand soap, Kian84 casually told her, "If there's no hand soap, you can just wash your hands with dish soap." The two kept the conversation casual and easygoing.

While waiting for the food, Kian84 suddenly asked, "Should I clip your fingernails? Or your toenails?" When Kazuha mentioned her toenails had gotten long recently, he doubled down. "Then let's clip your toenails after we eat. I'm good at it," he said.

After the meal, Kian84 brought out a nail clipper. Kazuha extended her foot without hesitation. Looking at her toenails, he said, "Don't your socks tear? They're really long." He said clipping all ten would be tough and offered to trim only a few.

Kian84 also brought up a past moment when he had removed calluses from the heels of Kwon Eun-bi. He then picked out Kazuha's big toenail and said, "I won't cut into the skin. I'll just take off half the length," before going in with the clipper.

He looked closely at Kazuha's feet, shaped by years of ballet training. "You've got a lot of calluses from ballet. It's like a badge of honor. Your feet look like a marathon runner's," he said. He was surprised by how thick her toenails were, and Kazuha explained that she had gotten a pedicure on. After clipping, he filed down the edges himself. "There's not much I can do for you. At least let me do this," he said. When Kazuha asked if he usually clipped other people's toenails, Kian84 said it was his first time. "You're brave," she laughed.

The joke Kian84 made while cleaning up was on-brand. Gathering the trimmings to throw them out, he said, "If a mouse eats these, another one of you gets made, so you have to throw them away properly."

In the video, Kazuha agreed to the whole thing on her own, and both of them kept smiling through it. Once it was posted, though, reactions online were mixed. Some viewers saw it as a comfortable moment between two people who know each other. Others felt that clipping someone else's toenails on camera, even between friends, was a bit much. A number of viewers said Kian84 offering to clip her fingernails or toenails in the first place felt out of pocket.
