Moon Sang-min May Be 191cm Tall, but He Says He's Really a 'Teddy Bear'

Actor Moon Sang-min showed off a softer side at ATA Festival 2026, joking that despite his nickname as a "door-sized guy," he would rather fans remember him as a "teddy bear."

Moon attended the Asia Top Artist Festival 2026, or ATA Festival, at Nanji Hangang Park in Seoul on Sept. 19. Making his first appearance at an outdoor music festival, the actor said he was both nervous and excited to be there.

"Being here in person, I'm really nervous and excited. This is my first outdoor festival," Moon said. "I'm grateful to ATA for giving me this opportunity. I want to have a great time today."

After watching countless artists perform up close during his time as an MC on KBS2's "Music Bank," Moon had one act in particular on his must-see list: Dynamic Duo.

"I'm a fan of Dynamic Duo, who are performing right now," he said. "I can hear them from backstage, and I'm so excited. I want to run over to the stage right now."

Moon also named &TEAM as the group whose style he currently wants to channel. He had previously picked NCT WISH as his "chugumi," a Korean slang term for the look or vibe someone aspires to. "My chugumi today is &TEAM," he said.

Standing around 191 centimeters tall with a broad frame, Moon has earned the nickname "munjjaknam," a Korean term that roughly translates to "door-sized guy." But Moon said there is another side of his image he hopes fans will remember.

"People call me a 'door,' but I'm actually a teddy bear," Moon said with a laugh. "I hope my fans don't forget the teddy bear."

Moon closed by thanking the festival for giving him a chance to try something new.

"I'm happy to have had such a great experience through this opportunity," he said. "I'll keep working hard to show you the best of myself, so I hope you'll continue to support me."

Moon made his big-screen debut this year in the Netflix film "Pavane," earning the Best New Actor award at the 46th Golden Cinematography Awards. He also starred as Grand Prince Dowol Lee Yeol in the KBS2 drama "To My Beloved Thief."

ATA Festival 2026 runs from Sept. 19 to 20 at Nanji Hangang Park in Seoul. The first-day lineup included Lee O-wook, Kim Soo-young, Dynamic Duo, LUCY, CNBLUE, &TEAM, WOODZ, Car, the Garden and Hi-Fi Un!corn.

ATEEZ and Jannabi headline the second day on Sept. 20, alongside KickFlip, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, Choi Ye-na, Lee Mu-jin, Urban Zakapa, Daybreak, Choi Hyun-wook and Dragon Pony.
