BTS Sets New Oricon Record With Fourth Million-Point Single

BTS has added another million-point release in Japan, setting a new record for an overseas artist on Oricon's Combined Singles ranking.

According to Oricon on Sept. 28, "Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)" surpassed 1 million cumulative points on the latest weekly chart. The ranking combines performance across formats including streaming and digital downloads.

It marks BTS' fourth release to reach the milestone, following "Lights / Boy With Luv," "Dynamite" and "Butter (Permission to Dance)." BTS now holds the most million-point releases on the Combined Singles chart among overseas artists.

"Boy With Luv" was originally released in April 2019 as the title track from the group's EP "MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA." The song is also approaching 300 million cumulative streams on Oricon.

BTS has meanwhile been nominated for Most Popular International Artist at Australia's 2026 ARIA Awards. The ceremony will take place at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion on Nov. 18, with fellow nominees including Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles and Olivia Rodrigo.
