Netflix's live-action adaptation of "Solo Leveling" has confirmed its main cast. Han So-hee, Kang You-seok, Sung Joon, Lee Sung-min and Jung Ji-hoon better known as Rain, are joining previously announced lead Byeon Woo-seok. Han will play Cha Hae-in, Korea's only female S-rank hunter, opposite Byeon.

"Solo Leveling" follows Sung Jin-woo, played by Byeon, an E-rank hunter who is considered the weakest among those tasked with protecting the real world from monsters emerging through mysterious gates. After a near-death experience, he awakens new powers and begins leveling up until he becomes the strongest hunter alive.

The series is based on the global IP that began as a web novel and expanded into a webtoon, animation and games. With Byeon set as Sung Jin-woo, Han, Kang and Sung have joined the main cast, while Lee and Rain are making special appearances.

Han plays Cha Hae-in, Korea's ninth S-rank hunter and the only woman among them. The character fights with a longsword as her signature weapon. For Han, it is another action role after her work in the Netflix series "My Name" and "Gyeongseong Creature."

Kang plays Yoo Jin-ho, the second son of the Yoojin Group. Yoo joins Sung on a dungeon quest and ends up treating him like an older brother, following and supporting him. Kang's recent credits include the Netflix series "When Life Gives You Tangerines" and the drama "Resident Playbook" (Eonjenganeun Seulgiroul Jeongongui Saenghwal).

Sung plays Woo Jin-chul, a chief in the Hunter Association's surveillance division and an A-rank hunter. Woo tracks and monitors hunters, and is the first to suspect that Sung Jin-woo may have awakened to his powers.

Lee and Rain are rounding out the ensemble through special appearances. Lee plays Go Gun-hee, the chairman of the Hunter Association, which oversees the country's guilds and every hunter across Korea. A retired top-level hunter himself, Go has the authority to moblize hunters in times of national emergency.

Rain plays Baek Yoon-ho, the leader of the White Tiger Guild, the second among the country's five major hunter guilds. Baek is an S-rank hunter with the ability to transform into a beast. The role continues Rain's action work following the second season of Netflix series "Bloodhounds."

Director Han Dong-wook is also joining the project as co-director. Han, who debuted with the film "Man in Love," won the Best Director award in the TV category at the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards for the series "The Worst of Evil." The project reunites him with production companies SANAI PICTURES and Kakao Entertainment.

"Solo Leveling" is coming soon, exclusively on Netflix.
