BTS's long-awaited visit to Peru has been overshadowed by growing security concerns as crowds continue gathering outside the group's hotel in Lima, despite RM personally asking people to respect their privacy and allow them to rest. The situation has now drawn the attention of the city's mayor, while even a dancer accompanying BTS on their world tour has spoken up.

Since the group's arrival in Peru for the Lima leg of their "ARIRANG" world tour, videos circulating on social media have shown large crowds gathering outside their accommodation, shouting toward hotel windows and surrounding vehicles reportedly transporting the members.

Other accounts have alleged that individuals pointed laser lights toward the hotel, further intensifying concerns about the behavior of those gathered outside. The reports have prompted criticism from fans who argue that attempts to see the members have crossed the line from public enthusiasm into harassment.

The situation is particularly concerning because RM had already addressed the issue directly, asking people not to gather outside the hotel. In a message shared through Weverse, he explained that the constant presence of crowds and noise was making it difficult for the members and staff to rest properly.

His appeal also highlighted that the disturbances were affecting other hotel guests, making the issue about more than the artists' personal comfort.

However, the gatherings have continued, raising questions about how security personnel can safely move the members between their accommodation and scheduled activities when large groups gather around their transportation.

The growing concern has also extended to people working directly with BTS, with one of the group's touring dancers speaking publicly about the situation. On an instagram story he posted "Please just stay away from the hotel. You've already been warned. We love Peru but why do you keep making noise and disturbing people? It's really annoying"

Moreover, Lima Mayor Renzo Reggiardo has reportedly called on the National Police of Peru to reinforce security around the hotel, expressing concern about the difficulties BTS are facing in getting sufficient rest ahead of their concerts.

Reggiardo emphasized the importance of ensuring the artists can sleep and recover properly so they can perform under appropriate conditions. He also outlined a broader security and transportation operation coordinated by the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima, the National Police and the Urban Transport Authority (ATU), including 180 transportation units designated to assist concertgoers after the performances.

The mayor's involvement reflects how the gatherings have developed into a concern extending beyond fandom discussions, with the safety of the artists, surrounding public spaces and concert attendees all requiring attention.

Meanwhile, frustration has continued to grow among ARMY online. Many have criticized those refusing to leave the hotel despite RM's request, while others expressed concern about reports of people shouting whenever someone appeared at a hotel window.

Some fans have even circulated warnings that the continued disturbances could jeopardize upcoming performances with many speculating there could even be a possibility of cancellations. However, there has been no confirmed announcement suggesting this.

The concerns surrounding the members' ability to rest remain relevant, particularly given the demanding schedule of an international stadium tour. Repeated disruptions outside their accommodation could create additional difficulties for artists who must travel, rehearse and perform over consecutive dates.

The controversy has also affected organized fan activities intended to celebrate BTS's arrival in Peru. On October 8, BTS Perú Fanclub organized a drone light show as part of its "ROAD TO 7" initiative, a series of projects developed over several months to welcome the group to the country.

However, following criticism connecting the display to the gatherings outside BTS's hotel, the organization issued a statement clarifying that the approximately 10-minute show had taken place in Costa Verde, in an area separate from the group's accommodation.

The fanclub emphasized that it had never encouraged people to gather outside the hotel or participate in activities that could disturb public order. It also pointed out that the people responsible for the disturbances were not necessarily all BTS fans, explaining that the crowds included individuals from outside the fandom.

According to the organization, it had repeatedly urged followers, media outlets, content creators and the general public to respect the members' privacy and avoid normalizing harassment since BTS arrived in the country.

For BTS, their visit to Peru is part of a larger Latin American leg of the "ARIRANG" world tour, making sufficient rest and safe transportation essential as they continue their international schedule.

While fans have every reason to celebrate the group's arrival, the continued gatherings have created a situation in which the members' own requests appear to be going unheard.

With local authorities now being urged to reinforce security and people accompanying the tour also expressing concern, the focus has shifted from the excitement surrounding BTS's arrival to whether their privacy and safety can be maintained for the remainder of their visit.
