BTS to Transform Singapore With Monthlong "THE CITY" to Close Out 2026
K-pop group BTS will bring its "THE CITY" project to Singapore this December, marking the final edition of the event in 2026. In partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board, the group will offer a month of BTS-themed programs across the city.
The group's agency announced "BTS THE CITY ARIRANG – SINGAPORE" on the global fan platform Weverse on Oct. 19. Running from Dec. 1 to 31, the event will be the longest edition of "THE CITY" to date.
The project is being organized in collaboration with the Singapore Tourism Board. Major tourist attractions and cultural venues across the city will host programs featuring BTS's music and content, offering experiences beyond the concert venue.
"This is the largest city-wide project undertaken in collaboration with a single artist, and we are proud to present this special experience," the Singapore Tourism Board said. It added that the first Southeast Asian edition of "THE CITY ARIRANG" "demonstrates Singapore's ability to attract globally recognized intellectual property."
Several major attractions and cultural institutions are participating in the project, including Mandai Wildlife Reserve, National Gallery Singapore, the National Museum of Singapore, Resorts World Sentosa, Sentosa Development Corporation and The Kallang Group.
"THE CITY" is a project that brings BTS-related experiences to cities hosting the group's world tour. By incorporating the group's music and album concepts into local landmarks and public spaces, the project allows visitors to engage with BTS-related content beyond the concert venue.
The project began in Seoul in March alongside BTS's comeback and has since expanded to Las Vegas, Busan, London and New York. Singapore will serve as the final stop of its 2026 run.
Meanwhile, BTS will begin the Asian leg of "BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'" in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on Nov. 19. The group will perform at Singapore's National Stadium on Dec. 17, 19, 20 and 22. The four concerts represent the highest number of shows scheduled for a single location on the Asian leg of the tour.
