TUIDE's Agency Speaks Out Against Online Abuse of Minor Members
HYBE's rookie girl group TUIDE is facing malicious online comments just two months into its debut, prompting its agency ABD to announce legal action against those targeting the members.
On October 19, ABD released a statement on Weverse saying it had identified numerous posts and comments repeatedly mocking, insulting and personally attacking the group. The agency said it would pursue legal action against those spreading false information, making defamatory or sexually harassing remarks, or violating the members' privacy.
ABD said it had been collecting evidence from online communities, social media platforms and music streaming sites, and would not offer settlements or leniency. The company also plans to provide updates on its legal proceedings every six months starting in 2027.
TUIDE, which debuted on August 24, has faced criticism online over the members' appearances and the group's chart performance. Some of the discussion has escalated into personal attacks, with concerns growing over the treatment of the young members.
ABD emphasized that most TUIDE members are minors and asked fans to report abusive content through HYBE's official artist protection website.
