TWICE member Dahyun and actor Cha Woo-min are set to star together in a new film. The movie, "Rolling Gureum" (Gureumi Gureumi), the high school romance is currently filimng and it has a release planned for 2027.

The story follows a cheerful girl who has spent her whole life rolling the wheels of her wheelchair and a promising young swimmer who carries emotional wounds. As the two meet, they slowly become something special to each other. The film is described as a messy, fun coming-of-age story about first love and two very different teenagers who open up each other's worlds.

Choi Sun-min directs the film. Choi has worked as a co-director on several dramas for the Korean cable network JTBC, including "King the Land," "Miss Night and Day" and "Waiting for Gyeong-do" (Gyeongdoreul Gidarimyeo).

Dahyun has been building an acting résumé with projects such as "You Are the Apple of My Eye," "Full Sprint" (Jeollyeok Jiljju) and "Love Me." In the new film, she plays Gureum, a high school student known for her bright pink wheelchair.

Gureum is paralyzed from the waist down and has used a wheelchair throughout her 17 years of life. Despite her circumstances, she is sunny and confident, more so than almost anyone around her. As a member of her school's art club, she gets a sudden urge to draw well-defined abs from a live model. That sends her to the school swimming pool.

There, she becomes the community service mentor for Jun-san, a swimmer who was suspended from training after a fight with an upperclassman. Their first-love story starts from there.

Cha Woo-min, a rising star who has appeared in "Buried Hearts," "Study Group" and "My Favorite Employee" (Choeae-ui Sawon), plays Jun-san. He is the romantic lead opposite Dahyun.

Jun-san stands out with his athletic build and good looks, but he hides insecurities and inner wounds from those around him. Before he meets Gureum, swimming is all he thinks about. Although he initially resents having to complete community service, the experience brings him closer to her. He starts to like her, yet he struggles with a deep sense of shame he has carried for a long time.

For Dahyun, the role adds another lead part to an acting career that keeps growing alongside her work with TWICE. For Cha, it is a chance to carry a big-screen romance as one of the faces of a new generation of South Korea's rising young actors.
