Singer and actress Suzy has reportedly signed a presale contract to buy a home in one of Seoul's most expensive new residential buildings. Korean entertainment outlet TenAsia reported that she recently signed a presale contract for a unit at L'ARBRE 27, a luxury residential development under construction in Samseong-dong, Gangnam district. In South Korea, a presale contract allows the purchase of a property before construction is finished.

The specific unit type and purchase price Suzy signed for have not been confirmed. The top units at L'ARBRE 27 are priced in the 40 billion won range. That puts the project among the most expensive residences in Gangnam, a district already known for high-end real estate.

The building first made headlines when news broke out that actress Shin Se-kyung had bought a unit there. Actor Jang Keun-suk, BLACKPINK's Jisoo and TV personality Seo Jang-hoon have also reportedly signed contracts.

L'ARBRE 27 is being built at 90-20 Samseong-dong and on the surrounding lot. Hyundai Engineering & Construction is responsible for construction. The project has two buildings, each with five basement levels and seven above-ground floors, for 27 units in total.

Its limited number of units is part of its appeal. Unlike large apartment complexes, the building is designed around privacy and a more independent way of living.

Homes come in three main types: garden houses, terrace houses and penthouses. Prices vary widely depending on the unit's size, layout and location within the development.

The top-floor penthouses, types P1 and P2, were reportedly priced in the 40 billion won range. A sixth-floor terrace house, type C7, is priced at about 19.5 billion won. Garden houses reportedly start in the 26 billion won range, while terrace houses start in the 14 billion won range.

Away from real estate, Suzy is staying busy as an actress. Her Disney+ original series "Bewitched" (Hyeonhok) is coming up. Her film "The Seven O'Clock Breakfast Club for the Brokenhearted" (Siryeondanghan Saramdeureul Wihan Ilgop Si Jochanmoim), in which she stars with actor Lee Jin-wook, is scheduled to hit theaters in December.
