Kim Geonwoo of boy group ALPHA DRIVE ONE has filed a lawsuit against his agency, WAKEONE, following differences over his future activities.

According to WAKEONE on Oct. 25, the two sides had been discussing plans for his activities but were unable to reach an agreement, leading to legal proceedings. Kim recently filed a lawsuit seeking a court ruling on his status, according to reports.

"We have been preparing various plans for Kim Geonwoo's future activities, including specific schedules and content, and continuing discussions," WAKEONE said in a statement that day. "However, differences in our respective positions arose while coordinating the direction of his future activities, leading to legal proceedings."

The agency also apologized to fans and said it would respond through the established procedures.

"We deeply regret and apologize for causing fans concern and fatigue during this process," WAKEONE said. "We will respond diligently to this matter in accordance with established procedures."

WAKEONE said it would support ALPHA DRIVE ONE's seven currently active members so they can focus on their music and performances.

"We will support ALPHA DRIVE ONE's continued activities in a stable environment and will also continue communicating with Kim Geonwoo about his future activities in the entertainment industry," the agency said.

ALPHA DRIVE ONE was formed last year through Mnet's survival show "BOYS II PLANET." Kim went on hiatus in Apr. after it emerged that he had expressed dissatisfaction using inappropriate language during a content shoot, unaware that his microphone was on. The group has since continued its activities as a seven-member lineup without him.
