RIIZE's 'Insomnia' Goes From Sleepless Nights to No. 1

RIIZE's latest single "Insomnia" has reached No. 1 on several music charts following a series of live performances in South Korea.

The six-member group performed the song on 1theK Live's "Record Delivery" on Oct. 29 before appearing on KBS2's "Music Bank," MBC's "Show! Music Core" and SBS' "Inkigayo" through Nov. 1.

The performances highlighted the members' vocals, with a more restrained approach than the group's usual choreography-focused stages.

Released Oct. 26, "Insomnia" is an acoustic pop track built around gentle guitar melodies and lyrics exploring the thoughts and emotions that surface during sleepless nights.

The song topped Melon's Global K-chart for seven consecutive days and also secured the weekly No. 1 position. The chart combines data from Melon, Tencent Music and Japan's LINE MUSIC.

In China, "Insomnia" received Double Gold certification on QQ Music after exceeding 500,000 yuan in digital sales.

It also topped QQ Music's weekly digital singles sales chart and Tencent Music's weekly K-POP chart.

Elsewhere, the track reached No. 1 on iTunes' Top Songs chart in seven regions, including Argentina, Chile and Brazil, and entered the top 10 in 13 regions overall.
