A2O LITE Extends "NEON" Success With Eighth Music Show Victory
Girl group A2O LITE has secured its eighth music show victory with debut single "NEON," continuing a run of domestic and international chart achievements.
The nine-member group claimed first place on SBS' "Inkigayo" on November 1, marking its second consecutive win on the program.
The victory followed A2O LITE's first win on MBC's "Show! Music Core" on October 31, bringing the group's total music show wins for "NEON" to eight.
Beyond the results, A2O LITE has drawn attention for introducing variations to its choreography throughout the promotional period. Members Aijing and Xili have repeatedly modified their signature paired dance during the song's introduction, incorporating elements of tutting and locking into the performance.
The changes range from intricate hand and arm movements to rhythm-focused choreography, giving each music show appearance a slightly different opening.
The full group's performances have also featured synchronized formation changes and an energetic dance break.
During the group's first-place encore stages, members have performed their individual vocal parts live and incorporated a cappella harmonies.
A2O SOUL members also remained onstage during the November 1 encore to celebrate A2O LITE's second consecutive "Inkigayo" victory.
The group's music show success comes alongside chart achievements for "NEON."
According to the group's promotional materials, the song spent 18 consecutive days at No. 1 on Melon's Top 100 chart and entered the top 10 of both Billboard global charts. It also reached No. 1 on Oricon's weekly streaming growth ranking in Japan.
A2O LITE, consisting of Young, Himeki, Vora, Xili, Rada, Merci, Ayune, Oa, and Aijing, will continue promoting "NEON" following its eighth music show win.
