TREASURE Returns Today, Set to Deliver a 'SHOCK' with YG's Signature Hip-Hop

K-pop boy group TREASURE is leaning harder into hip-hop with its new song. The group will release the digital single "SHOCK" on Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. KST across music streaming sites.

The single follows "NEW WAV," the group's fourth mini album, which kicked off a new chapter for TREASURE in June. With "SHOCK," the group puts its trademark high energy front and center.

"SHOCK" is an electronic hip-hop track built on fast-paced beats and trendy synthesizer sounds. It draws on the hip-hop style YG Entertainment has been known for over the years, adding TREASURE's powerful energy to the mix. The song features sharp rap verses from the members and catchy phrases in its bridge. Its lyrics also borrow from "Hot 뜨거" by 1TYM, an earlier YG hip-hop group.

YG Entertainment producers BIGTONE and P.K were among those who worked on the track. Both have previously worked on hit songs for YG artists. Overseas songwriters and composers who contributed to "NEW WAV" also returned to help create the new single.

A music video will be released alongside the song. It features dark structures and striking visual effects, including lightning and flames. The members' stylish gestures and commanding presence add to the intense atmosphere.

The video will also offer the first look at the song's choreography. Some moves bring the lyrics to life, while others capture the impact of a powerful shock. In the bridge, the members perform tightly synchronized choreography, bringing even more energy to the stage.

"With 'SHOCK,' we're going to show you the full force of TREASURE," the group said. "Just like the song title, we want to give our fans a positive shock."

The members also expressed their gratitude to fans for their continued support.

"We worked really hard on this comeback to repay all the love fans gave us during our last promotions and fan concert tour," they said. "Let's fill the rest of 2026 with TREASURE."
