NCT 127 Proves Global Popularity, Draws 102,000 Fans in Japan and Thailand
K-pop boy group NCT 127 has drawn a combined 102,000 fans to its latest concerts in Japan and Thailand as part of its fifth tour.
NCT 127 performed for 60,000 fans across two shows at Belluna Dome in Japan on Oct. 24 and 25. The group then played two shows at Thammasat Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, drawing another 42,000 fans.
The group opened the concerts with some of its best-known songs, including "Walk," "Simon Says" and "Cherry Bomb." It then performed tracks from its seventh studio album, released in August. Those included "Legacy," "Step Up," "IKR" and "Day After Day."
The atmosphere grew even more electric during the singalong section, a signature part of NCT 127's concerts. Fans sang along to a string of hits, including "Piñata," "Fire Truck," "Fact Check," "Kick It" and "Blingy." Loud cheers and voices filled the venues as the crowd joined in.
After the performances, NCT 127 thanked its fans for their support.
"We believe we're able to perform on stages this big because of all of you who always support us," the group said. "The loud cheers and singalongs we hear on stage give us so much strength. We won't forget the love and energy you've given us, and we'll return that love with good music and great performances. Please stay with us until the end of the tour."
NCT 127's fifth tour, "NEO CITY – THE REDLINE," continues across Asia. The group will perform in Manila, Philippines, on Dec. 12, followed by Taipei, Taiwan, on Jan. 2, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Jan. 9 and Macau on Jan. 16.
