CORTIS Secures FNS Music Festival Spot Before Official Japanese Debut
K-POP boy group CORTIS is set to appear on Japan's "2026 FNS Music Festival" on December 2, marking another major television appearance in the country ahead of the group's official Japanese debut.
The five-member group, consisting of Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon and Keonho, has been confirmed for the first day of Fuji TV's annual year-end music special.
The "FNS Music Festival" is one of Japan's prominent year-end music programs, alongside NHK's "Kohaku Uta Gassen," bringing together established and rising artists for televised performances.
CORTIS' upcoming appearance follows a series of achievements in Japan throughout 2026.
Their second mini album, "GREENGREEN," topped Oricon's Daily Album Ranking on its release day in May and reached No. 4 on Billboard Japan's Hot Albums chart for the tracking period of May 4–10.
The album also surpassed 100,000 units in cumulative shipments in Japan, earning Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
Internationally, "GREENGREEN" spent 18 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, according to the group's agency.
CORTIS has also expanded its presence in Japan through live performances.
In September, the group sold out all three shows of its first Japanese tour, "2026 CORTIS TOUR <PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN> IN JAPAN," held at Pia Arena MM in Kanagawa.
The group was also invited to perform at "ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2026," where it was the only K-pop act on the lineup. Despite heavy rainfall during the event, CORTIS performed before an audience that joined in singing along to its songs.
The group is now preparing for several major year-end appearances.
CORTIS will attend the 18th Melon Music Awards at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on November 15, followed by the 2026 MAMA Awards at Kyocera Dome Osaka on November 20 and 21.
The group will then return to Japanese television for the "2026 FNS Music Festival" on December 2.
