RESCENE's Woni Explains Sudden Stage Exit: "My Costume Was Too Tight"

Woni of K-POP girl group RESCENE has reassured fans about her health after abruptly leaving the stage during a recent performance.

RESCENE held a media showcase at Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall in Seoul's Hannam-dong on Nov. 3 to mark the release of its fourth mini album, "PULSE."

On Oct. 31, Woni suddenly left the stage during a celebratory performance at the opening ceremony of the APEC Summit Memorial Hall in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province. She later returned and completed the performance, but footage of the incident spread online, raising concerns about her health.

Woni subsequently explained on a fan communication platform that she had difficulty breathing while performing in a costume that had shrunk after being washed.

Asked about her health at the showcase, she responded with humor.

"I'm totally, totally fine," she said. "A tough woman from Geoje isn't going to be defeated by a costume. I even wondered if I'd eaten too much."

She also acknowledged that she should have checked the outfit beforehand.

"I'm partly to blame for not checking the costume in advance," she said. "I really don't want anyone to worry."

Switching to her regional dialect, she added, "Hey, don't worry. I'll make sure to take good care of myself."

Meanwhile, RESCENE is returning with its fourth mini album, "PULSE," which explores how a song shared with someone can return as a source of strength. The album's title refers to a heartbeat.

The album contains five tracks: the title song "With," along with "Finest Thing," "백화요란 (Inside Out)," "MEME" and "Dragon."

"With" captures the emotions of finally meeting someone you have been waiting to see. The song opens with a gentle melody before building into a powerful chorus, evoking the feeling of a heart beating faster.

"PULSE" was released on Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. KST through major music streaming platforms.
