CLOSE YOUR EYES Sells Out Shows in LA, Chicago and Seoul
K-pop boy group CLOSE YOUR EYES has wrapped up its first North American tour, with sold-out shows in Los Angeles and Chicago.
The seven-member group, consisting of Jeon Minwook, Ma Jingxiang, Jang Yeojun, Kim Sungmin, Song Seungho, Kenshin and Seo Kyoungbae, held its "BEYOND YOUR EYES" tour across eight North American cities from Oct. 21 to Nov. 4.
The tour kicked off in Atlanta before heading to Phoenix, Los Angeles, Dallas, Orlando, Chicago and New York. It concluded in Toronto, Canada.
CLOSE YOUR EYES had previously performed in Canada, but this tour brought the group to major U.S. cities as well. The shows in Los Angeles and Chicago sold out.
During the tour, the group also collaborated with Nick Kosir, an American weather forecaster and content creator known as the "Dancing Weatherman." Kosir has approximately 3.15 million followers on Instagram.
The group also achieved strong results on Shazam, a music recognition platform. "Open Your Eyes," a track from its fourth EP, "256th Note," reached No. 1 on Shazam's viral chart in South Korea. The song also ranked No. 2 on both the platform's Top 50 and Top 200 charts in the country.
CLOSE YOUR EYES will next hold a fan concert titled "Born an Idol, but I Want to Date CLOSER" (Motae Aidolijiman Keullojeowa Yeonaeneun Hago Sipeo) at COEX Artium in Seoul from Nov. 20 to 22. All three shows have sold out.
