NCT WISH Close First Tour With a Glimpse Toward Its Next Chapter
K-POP boy group NCT WISH wrapped up its first tour in Seoul while signaling the start of a new chapter. After completing its first tour, the group previewed a more expanded musical and performance identity ahead of the release of its first full-length album, "Ode to Love."
"NCT WISH 1st CONCERT TOUR 'INTO THE WISH : Our WISH' ENCORE IN SEOUL" took place from April 17 to 19 at KSPO DOME in Seoul Olympic Park. All seats sold out across the three-night run, marking a successful finale to the group's first solo tour. The final Seoul show brought the tour to a close as NCT WISH entered KSPO DOME less than two years after debut, underscoring the group's rapid growth
The concert opened with Chapter 0, "INTO THE WISH." As the members appeared on stage dressed in all-white outfits, the venue immediately erupted in cheers. Once the opening track "Steady" began, fans responded with thunderous sing-alongs amid waves of glowing lightsticks and star-like lighting effects, instantly raising the energy inside the arena.
Chapter 1, "Wishful Madness," continued with "Skate," which opened with Jaehee's soft piano performance, followed by "On & On," "Reel-ationship," "Wishful Winter (Korean Ver.)," "FAR AWAY," and "Design + Outro Dance Break." The section balanced emotional moments with dynamic performances.
One of the most eye-catching stages came during "Design," where the group incorporated water into the choreography. The members danced directly on top of a shallow water stage, splashing water with their feet and cutting through waves with their movements. Riku joked, "I think this is my first time dancing on water in my life," while Ryo added, "We'd only ever seen other artists do this. I never thought we'd try it ourselves." Sakuya explained that the members practiced kicking the water harder to make the stage appear even more dramatic. The performance revealed a different side of the group beyond its usual youthful image.
The members also showed noticeable growth in stage presence throughout the tour. Sion admitted, "On the first day, my body felt stiff even before going on stage," while Riku shared, "As the tour continued, I relaxed more and enjoyed the performances even more." That confidence translated naturally on stage as the members encouraged the crowd with phrases like "NCTzens, make some noise," drawing louder reactions from the audience throughout the night.
Chapter 2, "Our WISH," opened with "We Go! (Korean Ver.)" as the members rode moving carts around the venue to get closer to fans seated on the second and third floors. Performances of "Hands Up (Korean Ver.)," "WISH," and "Melt Inside My Pocket" followed, further heightening the atmosphere. During "WISH," the entire arena sang along together, highlighting the strong bond built between the group and fans throughout the tour.
A VCR segment then expanded the show's storyline. Built around the core concepts of the group's upcoming first LP, "Ode to Love," the video hinted at the transformation into "NCT WISH 2.0." Sion appeared as a butterfly-winged cupid aiming arrows at the members, while Sakuya opened a door leading into a new world, marking a key turning point in the concert's narrative.
That transition led directly into "Sticky," which triggered explosive reactions from the audience the moment the song began. Fans responded enthusiastically to the live performance, filling the arena with loud sing-alongs and cheers. In particular, screams erupted during a moment early in the performance when Riku posed between the members while resting his chin on his hand. The following dance break pushed the energy inside the venue to its peak.
Chapter 3, "Acceleration," featured "NASA (Short Ver.)," "CHOO CHOO," "Videohood," and "COLOR," dramatically shifting the atmosphere. Dressed in all-black styling, the members delivered more intense performances that contrasted with the group's brighter image while showcasing NCT's signature energy. During "NASA" and "COLOR," the members performed with full force, transmitting that intensity directly to the audience and drawing explosive cheers. The fast-paced sequence made clear the group's ambition to continue reaching bigger stages.
The encore section, Chapter 4 "NEXT CHAPTER," began with the title track "Ode to Love." Against a stage themed around the temple of "Anteros," Yushi appeared wearing butterfly wings, creating a dreamy atmosphere.
"Ode to Love," revealed live for the first time that day, amplified the group's signature, youthful sound even further. The song blended an instantly memorable melody with soaring vocals, creating another distinct color for the group. Its repetitive chorus left a particularly strong impression, lingering even after the performance ended.
The production also elevated the overall experience. Star-shaped confetti filled the venue while ceiling lights and lightsticks combined to create the illusion of standing beneath a sparkling night sky.
The approximately three-and-a-half-hour concert reached its emotional peak during the encore. The members locked eyes with fans throughout the venue, sharing each moment with the audience until the very end of the show.
Toward the end of the concert, the members shared heartfelt messages with fans. Sakuya said, "All 30 performances remain vivid in my memory. Rather than feeling sad, I hope everyone leaves feeling excited." Ryo added, "We were able to do this tour because of NCTzens, and I'm already looking forward to the next tour." Jaehee shared that he felt proud of the staff, the members and the fans, while Yushi said he was happy to perform in front of everyone. Riku added, "Seeing the members happy made me even happier."
Sion especially drew attention by personally thanking each member one by one, highlighting the team's strong bond. "Because of the members, I was able to carry out our activities in such a positive atmosphere," he said sincerely. Addressing fans, he added, "We'll always be here for you, so feel free to come find us anytime," bringing the concert to a warm close.
More than simply serving as the finale to a tour, the concert marked the starting point for NCT WISH's next stage.
