KATSEYE Wins 3 Awards Including New Artist of the Year at American Music Awards

Global girl group KATSEYE won three trophies, including New Artist of the Year, at the American Music Awards held on May 25 in Las Vegas.

The group also took home Best Music Video for "Gnarly" and Breakthrough Pop Artist, beating nominees including Alex Warren, Olivia Dean and sombr in the rookie category. During the acceptance speech, the members thanked fans EYEKONS along with Bang Si-hyuk, the HYBE x Geffen team and BTS.

KATSEYE also performed its new song "PINKY UP" at the ceremony. The members appeared from inside a giant teddy bear prop and drew cheers from the audience with the group's energetic choreography and stage presence.

The group debuted in the United States under HYBE's "multi-home, multi-genre" strategy, which applies the K-pop production system to global markets. KATSEYE has since expanded its international presence through performances at major festivals, including Lollapalooza and Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
