TREASURE's 'IF I' Delivers First M Countdown Trophy

Boygroup TREASURE has achieved a new milestone in their career nearly six years after their debut with their first-ever trophy on Mnet’s M Countdown with their latest comeback "IF I."

On the broadcast of M Countdown on June 11, TREASURE took first place with the title track off of their fourth mini-album "NEW WAV." So far, it has demonstrated strong results across the scoring categories in which global fan voting played a crucial role.

After the winner announcement, the members thanked not just their fans but their producer, Yang Hyun-suk, as well by saying, "Thank you, TREASURE MAKER, and thank you to executive producer Yang Hyun-suk for writing such a great song." The group also added, "as we promised at debut, we will become artists who remain in people's memories."

Despite TREASURE's previous music show wins, this one marked the first time the group had ever received a trophy during a live broadcast.The moment was made even more meaningful as member So Jung-hwan, who currently serves as an M Countdown MC, announced the group's victory and presented the award on stage.

"NEW WAV" which was released on June 1st is the group's first album composed entirely of hip-hop based tracks. It is also led by the group’s first ever English-language title track, "IF I," which has achieved a strong momentum surpassing one million first-week album sales and topping weekly album charts in both Japan and South Korea.

Furthermore the album's title track has so far topped YouTube's "Most Viewed Videos in 24 Hours" ranking and is approaching 100 million views at the fastest pace of TREASURE's career. Meanwhile, the song's dance challenge has continued to also spread across social media, drawing participation from fans and various dance crews.

TREASURE will continue promotions with its upcoming fan concert series, TREASURE THE STAGE 2026 NEW WAV : LIVE IN SEOUL, scheduled for June 19 to 21 at Korea University's Hwajeong Gymnasium before expanding to eight cities across Japan.
