wave to earth to Return With New Album 'bad pieces' in August
Indie band wave to earth will make its long-awaited return with the new album "bad pieces" on Aug. 7, marking its first album release in nearly two years.
The album follows the EP "play with earth! 0.03," released in September 2024. Inspired by "bad peace," the protest movement led by John Lennon and Yoko Ono in 1969, the new project is expected to showcase a more evolved sound through the use of new instruments and musical textures.
The band previously offered a preview of its musical direction through the pre-release single "heaven and hell," which highlighted a more mature and refined sound. Earlier this month, wave to earth also drew around 1,500 fans to a surprise busking event in Singapore, underscoring its growing global popularity.
Following the album release, the band will embark on "the pieces tour" beginning in September. The world tour will include 30 shows across North America, Asia and Seoul, with performances planned at iconic venues such as Radio City Music Hall and The Greek Theatre.
wave to earth currently boasts more than seven million monthly listeners on Spotify, while its hit song "seasons" has surpassed 500 million streams on the platform.
