DAY6's Young K Announces Second Solo Album 'YOUNGEST' for July Release

DAY6 member Young K will return as a solo artist later this month with his second full-length album, "YOUNGEST."

JYP Entertainment announced July 6 that the album will be released on July 27, marking Young K's first solo comeback in nearly three years since his 2023 full-length album, "Letters with notes."

Alongside the announcement, the agency unveiled a "YOUNGEST : Prologue" teaser image through DAY6's official social media channels. The visual features fragmented glass reflecting parts of Young K's face, while a key engraved with the initials "YK" hints at the album's concept and has sparked curiosity among fans.

The upcoming release marks Young K's second solo studio album and follows years of activity as a singer-songwriter with DAY6. Since debuting with the band in 2015, he has built a reputation as one of K-pop's most prolific writers, contributing lyrics and compositions to songs including "Congratulations," "You Were Beautiful" and "Time of Our Life."

Beyond music, Young K has remained active across television and entertainment, recently wrapping up DAY6's 10th anniversary finale concerts in Seoul while appearing on variety programs and serving as a mentor on ENA's "The Scout."

"YOUNGEST" will be released across digital music platforms on July 27 at 6 p.m. KST.
