SEVENTEEN's Dino Draws Global Buzz With Picheolin's 'Crazy Crazy'
SEVENTEEN member Dino is gaining attention with the latest release from his alter ego Picheolin, as the new single "Crazy Crazy" continues to attract listeners both in Korea and overseas.
Released on July 22, the track blends retro Korean influences with a modern pop sound, a style Picheolin describes as "K-retro kitsch." Shortly after its release, the song entered the iTunes Top Songs charts in several countries and regions, including Japan, the Philippines and Sri Lanka, driven by its infectious hook and upbeat energy.
The song has also sparked conversation online, with fans comparing its addictive chorus to the kind of track often nicknamed a "college entrance exam ban song" in Korea because it is difficult to stop humming. Social media users have embraced the accompanying dance challenge, recreating Picheolin's colorful retro-inspired styling in videos shared across platforms.
The music video follows Picheolin as he unexpectedly falls in love at first sight, unfolding through a series of comedic and unpredictable scenes that complement the song's playful atmosphere.
Picheolin will release his first mini album, "GilBOARD," on Aug. 3. The seven-track project includes the title song "Let's Play (prod. Hitchhiker)," with Dino credited across every track alongside producers Hitchhiker and Lee Hyun-do of legendary hip-hop duo DEUX.
