Aespa Wins Over Lollapalooza Chicago Crowd With Festival Debut

Aespa made a memorable first appearance at Lollapalooza Chicago, delivering a high-energy set that showcased the group's growing presence on the global festival stage.

Performing on the Allianz Stage on Aug. 2 local time, the quartet ran through a 14-song set spanning its biggest hits and recent releases. The show opened with "Black Mamba" and "Next Level" before moving into fan favorites including "Armageddon," "Supernova" and "Whiplash," all backed by a live band that added extra energy to the festival atmosphere.

One of the night's biggest moments came during "Switchblade," when featured artist Ty Dolla $ign joined aespa onstage for a surprise collaborative performance. The group also performed several tracks from its second full-length album, including "LEMONADE," "WDA (Whole Different Animal)," "Can't Help Myself" and "SHAKIN'," alongside songs such as "Rich Man," "Bubble," "To The Girls" and "Hold On Tight."

"It was an honor to perform at Lollapalooza Chicago," the members said after the show. "Hearing everyone sing along and cheer gave us so much energy, and we hope to carry that feeling into our upcoming world tour."

Following the performance, aespa released the music video for "Switchblade" featuring Ty Dolla $ign, extending the momentum from its festival debut ahead of the group's new world tour, which begins in Seoul this week.
