IVE Stunned by Vancouver Singalong: "Loud Enough to Break Through Our In-Ears"
K-pop girl group IVE has wrapped the North American leg of its second world tour. The group closed the run on Aug. 9 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, marking its first-ever solo show in the Canadian city.
The Vancouver date capped off IVE's eight-city North American swing for "SHOW WHAT I AM," which kicked off in Toronto on July 21 before moving through Montreal, Newark, Austin, Los Angeles, Oakland and Seattle. It's a noticeable step up from the group's 2024 debut world tour, "SHOW WHAT I HAVE," which hit six cities. This time, IVE added three Canadian stops in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
The Vancouver setlist opened with "GOTCHA" and rolled into "XOXZ," "Baddie," "Ice Queen" and "BLACKHOLE." Fan singalongs took over during signature tracks like "ATTITUDE," "LOVE DIVE," "REBEL HEART" and "I AM." At one point, the members said the crowd was so loud it was cutting through their in-ear monitors.
Each of the six members also performed a solo stage. Jang Wonyoung took on "8," Rei performed "In Your Heart," Liz delivered "Unreal," Gaeul performed "Odd," Leeseo brought "Super ICY" and An Yujin closed the solo run with "Force." The members were directly involved in songwriting, styling, choreography and staging for their solo moments.
Across 27 songs including the encore, IVE introduced tracks in English and worked the crowd throughout the show. Near the end of the night, Liz told fans in English, "Thank you for making tonight an unforgettable moment. No matter how many times we meet, every moment with DIVE is special." Jang Wonyoung promised, "We'll finish the rest of the tour well and come back to Vancouver as soon as we can."
Through their agency, Starship Entertainment, the group said, "We were truly happy to become one with DIVE through music. Even in cities we visited for the first time, the loud cheers and singalongs gave us so much energy every night. When we meet again, we'll return the love with even better music and stages." The members added that they would keep preparing hard for the rest of the world tour and asked fans to stay tuned.
With the North American run finished, IVE will continue "SHOW WHAT I AM" across Asia beginning in September.
