BTS Is Coming to South America, and Cities Are Already Preparing for Massive Crowds

Cities across South America are preparing for a surge of visitors ahead of BTS' "ARIRANG" World Tour stops in October.

In Argentina, La Plata officials expect more than 150,000 people to visit the city around BTS' three concerts on Oct. 21, 23 and 24, according to local reports. City and provincial authorities have met with concert organizers to coordinate security, transportation and crowd management. The La Plata City Council also previously voted to name BTS "Guests of Honor."

Other tour stops are incorporating the concerts into local cultural programming. Lima recently hosted "Road to 7: El Comienzo," a two-day K-POP event at the city's Magic Water Circuit featuring dance covers, screenings and other activities.

Official tourism organizations in Bogotá and Chile have also highlighted BTS' upcoming concerts as major cultural and tourism events, reflecting expectations for international visitors.

BTS will begin its South American run in Bogotá on Oct. 2 before heading to Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires and São Paulo. The group will play 14 concerts across the five cities.
